Ismail Dhani Well
Ismail Dhani, a small village near the New Chhore District Umerkot, home to an estimate of 500 people has suffered through a water crisis for the past two years.
Initially, the villagers had resorted to laying down a clean water pipeline from the Chhore Cantt, around 5KM away, through the funds collected for the project. However, with no apparent storage facility to keep the water, each day is a race against time so as to be present when the water can be collected through the pipeline. If mistimed, the cost is not only water wasted, but families deprived for an entire day.
Through the tireless efforts of our team here at Wadaan, we have solved this issue by building a storage facility with the pipeline. Water can now be collected 24/7, and could be the first step to managing the water crisis of Ismail Dhani.
